When I launched the website publicly last week, a lot of visitors pointed out that the baseball gallery was lacking in cards. To be fair, I knew that going into the launch and even mentioned that I was looking for feedback on the site in general, and that the few cards I did display, were there to show visitors what the page would look like when viewed.
I spent a good amount of time this weekend, scanning and labeling cards to display on the site. While I’m not too impressed with the scanner, it does show that the cards are refractors, and that’s the main point of the site anyway.
As it stands now, every baseball refractor that I have in my collection has been scanned and added to the website. From this point forward, I will be actively looking for and buying cards to fill my collection. Keep in mind, I’m in no hurry to complete any particular sport, especially considering there’s a bit that are a little pricier than others. Cards such as the 1993 Finest/Finest Promo, 1998 Bowman Chrome Golden Anniversary /5, and even the 1997 Finest Silver/Gold Embossed.
With that said, I’ve slowly started to fill out the checklists for the remaining sports, so that I can get an idea of what I need from them.
